You can act as an anchor and serve as a hosts for other health professionals attending the #ClimateStrikes.
What does it mean to anchor an action?
Sign up, below. By signing up here, you’ll make it possible for other health professionals from your area to find out that you’re organizing a health contingent for the climate strike near you.
We'll help you contact students organizing the Climate Strike near you to tell them you're coming. It's really important that adults standing in solidarity with students don't overtake their efforts. Connecting with student organizers supports their organizing and leadership.
Pick a meeting place at the strike location and let us know what it is. Hundreds of people may attend the Climate Strikes. Help your health peers and colleagues find you and form a visible health contingent by designating a specific place for health professionals to meet. It could be as simple as choosing to meet in "the north east corner of the plaza." Once you've picked your spot, let us know by email so that we can tell others attending the same action where to find you.
Invite your friends and colleagues. More and more health professionals are concerned about climate change and want to take action. Your colleagues may well want to join you, especially once they know a health contingent is being organized.
On Sept 20th (or 27th for some locations) go to your meet up spot at the strike with a sign that says Climate Change is Health Emergency. This will help other health professionals find you.
