Cambridge Health Workers support the Global #ClimateStrike

This is the first day of the week long general strike 20th-27th September!

Join with (future) health professionals around the country on September 20 as we show solidarity with school strikers for government action on climate change. Healthy Planet Cambridge and Students for Global Health Cambridge are doing an incredible job of organizing an action in your community.

If you have a work uniform that identifies you as a health professional, such as scrubs or a lab coat, please wear this to the #ClimateStrike. This will offer a powerful visual that health professionals are standing with students. We also encourage you to make signs showing the health impacts of climate change.

You can RSVP below or directly on the Health 4 Climate Cambridge Facebook Page

Children and students have shown incredible leadership at these actions and it's important that health professionals attending the actions are supportive without taking centre stage. The Health Host of this action has already reached out to let the students know that health professionals are coming. The global climate strike page also has some great tips about supporting students in a way that doesn't take over their event. You can find those here:

You can also find general information about the #ClimateStrike in your community here: Cam YS4C September strike!

If you can't leave work to attend a rally, there is still a lot you can do to support the student strikes. Learn about actions you can take at work here.
