Oxford Health Community Supports the #ClimateStrike

Millions of children and young people from around the world have been striking on Fridays in an urgent call for action to address the climate crisis. They have called on adults to stand in solidarity with them for a giant week of action on 20th – 27th September.

Doctors, nurses and other members of the health community in Oxford are asked to meet up at 11.45 am on 20th September outside Wadham College. We will then move around to Broad Street to join the main student climate strike at 12 noon. We’re encouraging people to wear scrubs or something that identifies them as a healthcare worker. You’re also encouraged to bring placards or banners with healthcare related messages of support for the student climate strikers.

RSVP to this event directly on facebook

If you cannot attend the march in person, we are running a several engagement activities at Oxford University Hospitals - please contact us on the email below if you'd like to be involved. We’d also encourage you to take a selfie or group photo at work to share on social media using the hashtags  #climatestrike and #fridaysforfuture; please tag @medact in your tweets.
